Italian Language & Cultural Tour
Florence has been for centuries fertile ground for great achievements both in the arts and in the sciences. Such achievements have both produced and been produced by cultural and social innovations. By exposing the students to historical achievements and some current attempts at social innovations, the programme aims at allowing them to reflect on how art, science, and society can interplay to produce improvements in the life of citizens.

Date: 4 to 17 Aug, 2019 (13 nights: Arrive in Florence on 4 Aug, dismiss in Florence on 17 Aug; Round trip transport arranged and paid by students)

(Refundable with full attendance of pre-trip meetings and the evaluation meeting, course and project completion and fulfill requirement on student sharing. However, it will not be refunded if student chooses to withdraw from the programme AFTER submitting the deposit.)

Program Content:
- Italian language course (40 hour, every morning 4 hours from Mon to Fri; achieve level A1)
- Four meetings/activities/visits to know and dialogue with people involved in intercultural dialogue and the history of social care in Florence (visits to Ospedale degli Innocenti, Palazzo Vecchio, Opera del Duomo....)
- Visit to an innovative project in the field of “civil economics”/social enterprises
- Guided visits to:
- Galleria degli Uffizi;
- Galileo Museum;
- Anatomical waxes at the Museum of Natural History;
- Visit to an innovative project in the field of “civil economy”/social enterprises
