Abstract:

This project aims to provide equal communication access for deaf and hard‑of‑hearing communities across Hong Kong and Mainland China through reliable sign language tools. It enables real‑time two‑way conversion, intuitive 3D learning with feedback, and cultural fairness by including regional variants and diverse demographics to minimize bias.

Project Progress

SignSphere completed foundational research by surveying 100 healthcare providers to validate 50 core medical sign language terms across four clinical categories. A cross‑platform Flutter app prototype was built, with in‑house 3D motion animations produced using iClone 8.
