Abstract:

This project aims to dismantle public bias against visually impaired individuals (VIP) by showcasing their workplace talents. Unlike traditional initiatives focused on daily life, it uniquely emphasizes equal employment opportunities. Through creative, interactive exhibitions paired with engaging workshops, the project transforms public interest into lasting awareness and reduces barriers to hiring.

Project Progress

From November 4 to 10, 2024, the team hosted a one-week interactive exhibition at Wu Yee Sun College to debunk workplace stereotypes about visually impaired persons (VIP) and highlight Hong Kong employment statistics. The initiative featured blindfolded sensory workshops—including "Foodie" tasting and "Perfumer" scent testing—allowing students to directly experience VIP professional skills. Complementing these physical events, the team launched an Instagram page (@jobsvip_wys) to promote educational posts and event reels.
