1. To formulate policies in relation to the operation of the College canteens
2. To administer tenders and contracts for College catering services
3. To monitor the operation and services of the catering provider of the College

1. To oversee the planning of the Creativity Laboratory
2. To approve and advise student creativity projects, especially those regarding design
3. To design and invite faculty-member-led C-lab initiatives
4. To inform the student team of external creativity activities

Terms of Reference

1. To widen the perspective of students by providing and monitoring the College General Education Programme
2. To organize and promote other academic activities and informal learning opportunities related to general education, such as College assemblies, forums, conferences, seminars, public lectures, exhibitions, high-table talks and visiting scholars
3. To examine course proposals for College General Education courses according to the objectives of the CUHK General Education Programme and the specific curriculum areas concerned, and to make recommendations to the Senate Committee on General Education (SCGE) thereon
4. To monitor the teaching and learning quality of College General Education courses

1. To formulate policies and development directions in relation to the College Service-Learning Programme
2. To oversee the management and operation of the College Service-Learning Programme, including service-learning trips organized by the College and the Service-Learning Project Funding Scheme
3. To organize activities to strengthen the social responsibility of College students

1. To develop student counselling policies and services
2. To advise on policies on and procedures for handling student disciplinary issues, and to recommend to the Assembly of Fellows disciplinary actions against misconduct or infringement of University and/or College regulations
3. To refer cases requiring further student counselling and disciplinary actions to other relevant units for action

1. To formulate policies in relation to student exchange programmes
2. To oversee the College’s student exchange programmes, including both term-time and summer exchange programmes
3. To advise on addressing the needs and problems of incoming and outgoing exchange students
